Becoming a PDEP Facilitator

PDEP Facilitators work for family-serving agencies and deliver the parent program as part of their jobs.
They may not deliver parent programs for personal profit.
We have found that the most effective PDEP Facilitators have these characteristics:

  1. Experience working with parents and children, and facilitating groups.
  2. Academic background in child development.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of children’s rights.
  4. Commitment to promoting positive, healthy family relationships.
You can apply for facilitator training on this website. Watch for trainings coming up in your area. Or send a message to posdis@umanitoba.ca to inquire about upcoming trainings.
